Harworth and Bircotes is situated in the North of Bassetlaw in Nottinghamshire and is an allocated growth zone which means it wil receive a large amount of development over the coming years. There are a number of housing developments already underway with more to come, ensuring that Harworth and Bircotes is an up and coming town.
Harworth and Bircotes has a number of retail facilities in its main shopping area along Scrooby Road, including two major supermarket stores and a number of independent stores.
Harworth and Bircotes has excellent educational facilities with the newly built Serlby Park academy that caters for ages 3 - 19 year olds. There are also two other primary schools, St Patricks Catholic Primary and All Saints Cof E school, there is also provision for the tiny ones too with a Preschool and Sure Start within the Town.
For Leisure activities, there are a number of sporting clubs and groups within the area with many running from the Bircotes Leisure Centre and the Harworth and Bircotes Sports Pavilion. We also have two play facilities within the area. Both have great play equipment. If you are wanting something more peaceful and sedate then there are a number of country walks and also the odd round of Golf at Styrrup Golf Club.
Harworth and Bircotes has great transport links with the A1 running to the west of the town, enabling you to access many places. Doncaster is just 10 miles away as well as the city of Sheffield being within easy driving distance of 22 miles. There are also good public transport links into Retford, Worksop and Doncaster.
